چکیده

A degumming approach is used in this paper with alkalophilic pectinase-producing bacteria (APPB) and two sources of water solvents to address the existing conventional retting complexities kenaf. The incorporation APPB was confirmed based on their feasibilities multiple cell-wall-degrading enzymatic delicacy. combinations seawater offered achievements within six-day non-sterile conditions. These niches showed maximum (14.67 U/mL) pectinase activity fiber separation 4.75 Fried test score. yielded composition analysis a higher cellulose (84.65%) least amount hemicellulose, pectin, ligneous gummy substances. transmission electron microscopy scan fibers smooth surfaces, 84.20 µm diameter, 7.65 g/tex fine compared uninoculated freshwater treatments. FTIR spectra revealed cellulosic discrepancies treatments by monitoring O-H C=O stretching at ~3300 cm−1 ~1730 wavenumbers. findings are compelling yield kenaf quality considering difficulties.

Title : Producing Fiber Flax Using Modern Machinery and Field Retting

approv Steven J. Knapp Fiber flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) production in the Willamette Valley ended in Oregon around 1957 before newly developed technology and fiber cultivars were available. The purpose of this research was to explore the use of modern methods and new cultivars. Field studies were conducted to evaluate cultivars and optimum cultural practices that would produce the highest yi...

Degumming of ramie fibers by alkalophilic bacteria and their polysaccharide-degrading enzymes.

Three strains of alkalophilic bacteria, Bacillus sp. NT-39, NT-53 and NT-76, were selected for the degumming of ramie fibers and production of polysaccharide-degrading enzymes. After 48 h of incubation with the strains, the loss of the gum might amount to 5.0% or more of the fibers and a number of polysaccharide-degrading enzymes were secreted to the culture supernatants. The residual gum of th...

Alkalotolerant and Alkalophilic Bacteria in Seawater

Numerous alkalotolerant and alkalophilic bacteria, with concentrations ranging from 10 to 103 cells 100 ml-' water sample, were isolated from seawater in the Pacific and Indian Oceans using a buffered medium of pH 10.6. The pH effects on growth rates were used to define the occurrence of three types of alkalotolerant and alkalophilic bacterial groups: (1) bacteria exhibiting high growth rates t...

Effect of Impregnated Inorganic Nanoparticles on the Properties of the Kenaf Bast Fibers

The objective of this research was to evaluate the properties of the chemically retted kenaf bast fiber impregnated with the inorganic nanoparticles. High quality kenaf bast fibers were obtained from a chemical retting process. An in situ inorganic nanoparticle impregnation (INI) process was used to introduce the CaCO3 nanoparticles into the retted kenaf bast fibers. It was found that some of t...
